Job Summary

Responsible for:
• optimal tracking and reporting of Risk Weighted Assets and Economic Capital to relevant Retail and Relationship Banking stakeholders
• testing data updates/impacts subsequent to any models’/strategy/Regulatory updates/changes; efficiently monitoring impacts to Risk Weighted Assets and communicating to relevant stakeholders.
• developing monitoring and tracking management information (MI) and developing reports to highlight trends to management within the Retail and Relationship Banking portfolios.
• monitoring governance as well as ensuring RDARR compliance relating to Risk Weighted Assets and Economic Capital for all Retail Business Units.

Job Description


Accountability: Analytics, Risk measurement and Monitoring

  • Compile and maintain monthly reporting to Retail and Relationship Banking stakeholders in order to monitor performance; relating to RWA and EC.
  • Ensure a clear understanding of the analysis of RWA and EC components and processes.
  • Analyse complex data/information from various sources e.g. SAS/Hadoop data sets, compass reporting system to make a calculated decision.
  • Liasing with relevant business units in order to ensure understanding of underlying reasons for movements in the RWA and EC i.e. portfolio specific events that cause adhoc movements.
  • Continuously identify and monitor trends and, when and where necessary, share the information with the necessary business unit.
  • Provide the Retail Business units with appropriate support to ensure improved understanding and, therefore, reporting of RWA and EC metrics.  
  • Highlight and provide suggested improvements/enhancements to existing BAU reporting (within the Risk Measurement team).
  • Ensure continuous improvement in all processes carried out in the Risk Measurement (Capital) team.
  • Measure the actual figures against the relevant forecasting plan that is being reported against e.g. RAF/STP/MTP.
  • Take corrective measures on deviations from policies and procedures as identified by an auditing process.
  • Adhere to all RDARR compliance and procedural requirements on an on-going basis.
  • Monitor and be aware of any Regulatory changes/updates.

  • Develop and maintain relations with relevant stakeholders.

Education

Bachelor`s Degrees and Advanced Diplomas: Physical, Mathematical, Computer and Life Sciences (Required)
